We are pleased to announce that we have begun shipping Volume 1 of our Study Handbooks for the Level I exam.  This Volumes covers the Statistical Foundations material in the curriculum.   Candidates typically need to allocate more time to this material, given its quantitative nature.   We are pleased to deliver this Volume to candidates as early as possible this exam season.

This is a reminder that early registration for the September 2012 CAIA exam closes next Monday, 14 May.  Candidates who register before this date receive a 10% discount.

We are pleased to announce that we began shipping UpperMark study materials for the CAIA Level II exam this week.  Many of our international clients will have their study packages as early as Monday!

The CAIA Level II exam results have been released.  Congratulations to all those who successfully completed their exams.  Since last evening, our Level II clients have been emailing us the good news of their successes.  We are very pleased to hear from them, and look forward to hearing from many others.

What’s next for Level II candidates?

• Candidates who passed Level II - you can now complete the process of becoming CAIA members.  All you have to do is sign the candidate agreement and pay your annual membership dues.  We look forward to seeing new CAIA members at CAIA Chapter gatherings.
• Candidates who were not successful - we understand that sometimes work commitments prevent you from being able to devote sufficient time to your study program.  For this reason, we provide our UpperMark Assurance, which gives a significant discount off Suite packages for qualified clients who defer or retake their CAIA exams.  Please check out the details of the UpperMark Assurance on our website.

Now what’s the next step for candidates?

• Candidates who successfully completed Level I -
  • You can now begin preparing your study program for your Level II exam.
  • The Level II exam is different in content and structure than the Level I exam.  There is further concentration in alternative investments, and the exam structure has constructed-response (essay-type) questions, as well as multiple-choice questions.
  • Details of the exam are provided in our Webinar Series, which begins with our CAIA. Get The Facts. webinar.   Be sure to watch the Webinars - these are recorded and can be viewed at any time at your convenience.

The September 2012 CAIA exam period officially opens on Monday, 2 April.  Below please find a list of important CAIA exam dates.

• 2 April 2012 – registration opens.
• 14 May 2012 – early registration closes.
• 1 August 2012 – standard registration closes.
• 17-28 September 2012 – Level I CAIA exam period.
• 10-22 September 2012  – Level II CAIA exam period.

Candidates who register in the early registration period receive a 10% discount.
