October 27, 2006 - UpperMark, Inc. Announces Partnership with the EDHEC Business School

In October 2006, UpperMark entered into an agreement with EDHEC Asset Management Education to serve as the distributor of UpperMark's CAIA test preparation materials. EDHEC Business School is France's largest school of management and a leading academic institution in Europe. The school's industry sponsored Risk & Asset Management Research Centre has earned a solid international reputation as a provider of top quality academic research addressing key professional needs. As the research centre's executive training offshoot, EDHEC Asset Management Education has been the exclusive provider of CAIA training courses in Europe since 2004. Under this new agreement, UpperMark™ products will be used in the CAIA review courses EDHEC offers throughout the continent.

The mission of EDHEC Asset Management Education is to help investment professionals to upgrade their skills with advanced risk and asset management training across traditional and alternative classes. EDHEC AM Education offers preparatory solutions for the CAIA^SM examinations as well as intermediate to advanced level alternative investment seminars.

EDHEC Asset Management Education has assisted professionals in more than 100 leading institutions across Europe to pass the CAIA exams; participants in its review courses have achieved over 90% success on first sit of both levels of the examinations.

September 17, 2006 - CISDM Annual Research Conference

Our team at UpperMark continually works to increase our knowledge of the latest developments in the field of alternative investments. In September, we attended the CISDM Annual Research Conference in Amherst, MA. CISDM is one of the premier research centers in the alternative investment arena. It is also the editorial home of the Journal of Alternative Investments and a co-founder of the CAIA Association. CISDM.s annual meetings provide a forum for discussing recent academic and practitioner research in the area of alternative investments.
